Cupping Therapy has been used in many cultures for thousands of years. It is part of a rich tradition of healing from early Egyptians, ancient Greeks, traditional Chinese medicine, and many others. In this fun hands-on class you will learn about the history of ancient cupping, its origins, indications, contraindications, and uses for modern cupping applications. Many demonstrations and hands on practice will increase your skill and confidence with cupping tools.

After taking this course you will have a basic understanding of the types of glass, silicon, and plastic cups used in vacuum cupping therapy, how to apply cups safely, and proper care and sanitization of the tools. You will practice several techniques on the face, neck, back, upper and lower extremities with a partner under the supervision of the instructor.

After taking this course you will understand how cupping therapy affects the body, have greater confidence in applying cups, and also be able to explain and market this technique to your clients. Incorporating the techniques you learn in this course into your usual practice is easy and fun!
